Over the past 2 weeks Cooper has become quite comfortable with the rest of the family. Here Murphy is sitting on daddy and Cooper is sitting on Murphy.
I didn't think conures came from Italy, but this one likes pasta. Here Cooper is munching on some spaghetti.
Ohhhhhhhh, that is the spot! Don't stop!
After having Cooper for 2 weeks, he started to molt. As the new feathers come in, they are itchy, and Cooper loves nothing more than having his neck rubbed.
I think Cooper likes to cuddle more than Christine. Here he decided that my armpit was a good place to cuddle up and take a winter's afternoon nap.
As well as taking long walks on the beach he likes long nights in a warm jacuzzi.
Yes, he likes the top of the cage as much as the inside.

I would like to introduce you to Cooper, A.K.A. DB Cooper. Some will say this is after the plane hijacker, but I'll say it stands for dirty bird. He is the newest part of our family. He is a green cheek conure. He was hached on 11-13-07.
Here is a nice family shot of Christine, Murphy, and Mischa wathcing the bird when he first came home.

We decided he was a he, because there is no way to know for sure without a DNA test.
Though he doesn't need a cage this big, we thought it would be better for him to have room for all of the toys that I'm sure he will collect.
Nice and sturdy for keeping cats out.
Here I'm glad he is not biting me, since that beak is sharp. He got me quite a few times the second day we had him.

Strike a pose!
